3.1 Account Creation
You must create an account to access most features. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately via our contact page if you suspect unauthorized access
We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized use of your account where you failed to maintain reasonable security of your credentials.
3.3 Accuracy of Profile Information
You agree to provide truthful and accurate information in your profile and application materials. CareerRecon generates documents based on the information you provide — we have no ability to verify the accuracy of your resume content or work history.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of information submitted to employers. Submitting false or misleading information to employers may constitute fraud and is a violation of these Terms.
4. AI-Generated Content
CareerRecon uses artificial intelligence to generate resumes, cover letters, and other application materials.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or statements that do not accurately reflect your experience
- You must review all AI-generated content before submitting it to any employer or third party
- CareerRecon is a productivity tool, not a substitute for your professional judgment
- We make no guarantees about the quality, accuracy, or effectiveness of generated content
- Generated application materials are provided for your use — we retain no ownership claim over documents you create using the platform
5. Acceptable Use and Fair Use
5.1 Permitted Use
You may use CareerRecon for lawful personal job search activities, including applying for jobs, managing your application pipeline, researching employers, and networking with professional contacts. The following are examples of acceptable use:
- Discovering and evaluating job opportunities using the platform's search and scoring features
- Generating tailored application materials (resumes, cover letters) for positions you intend to apply for
- Tracking your application pipeline and managing follow-ups
- Using the Chrome extension to research companies and professional contacts during your job search

5.2 Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information to employers using CareerRecon
- Use the Services to harass, spam, or engage in unsolicited commercial communications
- Automate interactions with third-party platforms (LinkedIn, job boards, employer career portals) in violation of those platforms' terms of service
- Use CareerRecon for the purposes of building a competing product or service
- Reverse engineer, scrape, copy, or extract data from the CareerRecon platform or APIs
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense CareerRecon's data, features, or outputs without written permission

- Use the Services for any purpose that violates applicable law
- Attempt to circumvent security controls or access data belonging to other users
5.3 Fair Use Guidelines
CareerRecon is designed to enhance your personal job search — not to serve as a data source for other products or services. Fair use means using the platform's features as part of your genuine job search workflow.
Examples of fair use:
- Using job discovery to find and evaluate opportunities relevant to your career goals
- Generating application materials for positions you plan to apply for
- Researching companies and contacts at organizations where you are actively pursuing opportunities
- Using pipeline tracking to manage your active applications and follow-ups
Examples that exceed fair use:
- Bulk downloading job listings or contact data for use outside the platform
- Using the platform primarily as a data aggregation or market research tool rather than for active job searching
- Proxying or re-exposing CareerRecon features through another application or service
- Systematically extracting AI-generated content for purposes unrelated to your own job applications
We reserve the right to limit or suspend accounts that consistently exceed fair use patterns. If you are uncertain whether your intended use is permitted, please contact us for guidance.
5.4 LinkedIn and Third-Party Platform Policy
The CareerRecon Chrome extension operates similarly to a password manager or browser assistant — it works across any website you visit and offers contextual content to support your job search. The extension does not scrape, extract, or programmatically interact with any third-party platform. It navigates to LinkedIn profiles and other professional pages for viewing purposes only.
All actions on LinkedIn and other third-party platforms are performed by you, the human user. You are responsible for complying with the terms of service of any third-party platform you access while using CareerRecon tools, including LinkedIn's User Agreement.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Your Content
You retain full ownership of your resume content, work history, career goals, and any other personal information you provide to CareerRecon. You grant us a limited license to use your content solely to provide the Services to you.
6.2 Generated Application Materials
Application documents generated using your content and CareerRecon's tools are yours. We assert no ownership rights over your resumes, cover letters, or other application materials produced through the platform.
6.3 CareerRecon Platform
The CareerRecon platform, including its software, design, trademarks, and proprietary content, is the property of CareerRecon. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform without written permission.
6.4 Third-Party Trademarks and Content
Job listings, company logos, and other third-party content displayed within the platform remain the property of their respective owners. CareerRecon displays this content for informational purposes related to your job search and does not claim ownership or imply endorsement by any third party.
7. Third-Party Services and Integrations
CareerRecon integrates with third-party services including Gmail, job boards, contact enrichment providers, and AI model providers. Your use of these integrations is subject to the applicable third-party terms of service and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the actions, content, or availability of third-party services.
